Overview
At one of Vietnam's most idyllic seaside resorts, 200 km (124 miles) north of Ho Chi Minh City, the four star Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa is located beside a vast, palm-fringed private white sand beach on the South China Sea. With bungalows set in exotic gardens designed in the style of traditional Vietnamese country houses.
The resort is close to Phan Thiet, a charming fishing village with archaeological remnants of the Cham Empire, and the beach is backed by desert-like sand dunes that are home to rare flora and fauna. Excursions by jeep is popular with visitors, as is visiting the fishing village and trekking 1, 000 steps to the top of Ta Ku Mountain to admire a giant 49 metres (160 feet) reclining Buddha statue.

Accommodation
The Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa features 60 cosy thatched roof bungalows. The bungalows are spacious and bright, decorated in honey and coral tones with a Vietnamese touch of linen curtains, teak furniture, silk cushions and white bed linens adorned with a “cham” (a traditional embroidered quilt). Each bungalow features a large bathroom with courtyard with hammock and al-fresco shower and a large outdoor patio facing the sea.
