Stimulus plan proposed to boost tourism 
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has proposed offering visas-on-arrival as a measure to lure more than 4 million foreign visitors to Vietnam this year. The VNAT has suggested the new service be offered firstly at the Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai international airports where a large number of foreign visitors enter to begin their trips in Vietnam.

Tours offered for Danang International Firework Festival 
On March 27-28, four firework groups from the USA, Japan, France and Portugal will perform firework shows in the central city of Danang. The organizers hope to welcome 100, 000 visitors with ocal travel firms having designed tours to the city.

Sports, Culture and Tourism week opens in Thai Binh 
An incense-burning ceremony opened the Sports, Culture and Tourism Week 2010 at the Tran Dynasty Temple relics in Hung Ha District of northern Thai Binh Province.

Airfares for domestic air routes will increase by VND100, 000-180, 000 starting March 1, according to a recent decision of the Ministry of Finance.

The announcement ceremony of the “Ho Chi Minh City--100 Excitements” program, launched three months ago by the HCMC Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, was held at the municipal Opera House on February 25.
