The hotel is only 5 minutes from Giang Vo International Exhibition-Fair Centre. As a joint venture hotel between Hong Kong and Vietnam, the City Wing of the Hanoi hotel opened in 1993 and the Lake Wing opened in 1997. The hotel has two wings: the Lake Wing and the City Wing. The Lake Wing is the newer wing with slightly larger rooms and views of the nearby lake. The City Wing is older with slightly smaller rooms and views of the city, with rooms currently being renovated and upgraded.
